1.1 Summary of Scope of Services

The proposed cleaning and relining tools are built to be ''Smart, Simple, and Reliable.'' The design and manufacturing strategy is the natural result of decades of experience in the industry; proven everyday all over the world by the equipment manufacturer chosen for this project.

We have to emphasize pipeline pigging is not an exact science yet. It is still a state of the art function due to numerous variables in pipeline design and construction. Pipeline pigs are designed to the internal dimensions of pipelines and must be able to transverse through reductions created by circumferential weld reinforcement, pipe wall thickness changes, valves, fittings, etc.

Prior to performing a pigging operation, the pipeline operator must determine what is expected to be accomplished. For instance, does that pipeline operator want to remove hard deposits, soft deposits, displace liquids, bath products, etc. There are pigs specifically designed to do each of these functions. Pigging is a form of maintenance and it is considered throughout the life of the pipeline during each phase of its life-construction and operation.

Present cleaning program for this project has been designed based on the available information and aims to guarantee that on-site will have sufficient material/parts available to mix and match when assembling cleaning pigs and ultimately achieve the goal and having a very clean line in order to perform the re-ling operations.

By running medium foam pigs which offer the great flexibility inside the line we will assert the pig’ability of the line while minimizing the risk of a stuck pig.

To anticipate the unlikely event that a pig does get lodged or stuck in the pipeline the pigs used will be fitted with a tracking transmitter to allow for easy determination as to the location of the pig inside the pipeline.

Relining Services - Termoflex® - Upon cleaning operations and services, once the line are free from any deposits we will provide the relining operations by pulling a Termoflex® tube into the existing various diameters steel line as shown on the pictures.
